Nicholas Parton – New Committee Member

With over two decades of experience in the gas industry, Nick brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team. His journey began with an apprenticeship in natural gas, and since then, he’s installed a wide array of gas central heating systems across the UK. Nick’s passion for mentoring apprentices has also played a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of professionals in the field.

During his time at National Grid (Cadent), Nick served as a First Call Operative and stand-in supervisor, leading significant projects, introducing new equipment and techniques, and obtaining multiple competencies. As a gas consultant with Blue Flame Associates, he further honed his skills in training and assessment across various competencies.

Currently, as an Asset Lifecycle Specialist for National Gas Metering, Nick manages policies, supports the UK’s domestic metering portfolio, and contributes to industry standards through BSI and IGEM committees. His latest achievements include aiding in the design and installation of the pioneering Hydrogen-powered commercial catering kitchen at Tyseley Energy Park.
