The REC Metering Hub now provides a suite of CoMCoP Mark assets to support accredited organisations in demonstrating their compliance with the Consolidated Metering Code of Practice (CoMCoP). The CoMCoP Mark enables approved organisations to promote their commitment to recognised industry standards covering the specification, installation, operation, maintenance and management of gas and electricity metering equipment.
As part of the Retail Energy Code, CoMCoP establishes the minimum requirements for metering activities and provides assurance that accredited parties operate in line with industry governance, safety and consumer protection standards. The code applies across a broad range of market participants, including Meter Asset Managers, Meter Operator Agents, Meter Installers, Electricity Metering Operatives, Safe Isolation Providers and Energy Suppliers.
The new CoMCoP Mark assets give accredited organisations access to approved branding materials that can be used across websites, communications and promotional materials to demonstrate their participation in the REC metering assurance framework. The assets help increase visibility of accredited status while promoting confidence among customers, stakeholders and industry partners in the quality and standards of metering services delivered under CoMCoP.
