Change to the timescale in BSCP20

Elexon is seeking a proposer for a potential Change Proposal (CP) regarding the timescales in BSCP20 for submitting Meter Technical Details (MTDs) for Meter Calibrations under Central Volume Allocation (CVA).

Summary of the Proposed Change:

  • Issue: Current BSCP20 timescales can be challenging to meet when on-site re-calibration of Settlement Meters is not feasible, leading to potential non-compliance and increased costs.
  • Proposed Solution: Relax the 20 Working Day (WD) timescale in BSCP20 Section 3.5.1 for Meter Calibrations, allowing more flexibility in cases where delays occur due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Impacts: This change will primarily affect Meter Operator Agents (MOAs). It is a document-only change with no expected system changes.

If no proposer comes forward by 22 November 2024, Elexon will close this potential CP.

For any questions, please email the AMO, and we will share them with our consultant, David Brown.
