Final Change Report Published – R0094
On 05 June 2024, the Final Change Report for R0094 – Clarify obligations on gas meter exchanges that occur close to CoS has been published in preparation for a final decision from the REC Metering Expert Panel on 12 June 2024.
Comments on the Final Change Report are open until 23:59 on 10 June 2024.

Department for Energy Security & Net Zero – Changes to the SEC relating to the Commercial Product Assurance (CPA) scheme
Between 26 February 2024 and 8 April 2024 the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero issued a consultation on proposed changes to the main-body SEC and SEC Appendices aiming to support continuity of the CPA Scheme. This encompasses arrangements for assuring that smart metering devices, which operate as part of the Smart Metering System in Great Britain, meet the required cyber security standard. The proposals enable the transfer of overall responsibility to deliver, maintain, and operate the CPA Scheme from the current owner and operator National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) to the SEC Panel’s Security Sub-Committee (SSC).

DESNZ updated notice pursuant to the 4G CH&N BMPPA scheme
On 23 May 2024. the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero is issuing an updated notice under paragraphs 6.2, 6.3, 6.4, 6.6 and 6.8 of the Baseline Margin Project Performance Adjustment (BMPPA) Scheme for the 4G Communications Hubs & Network (CH&N) programme which has been amended to incorporate the following changes:
REC Stakeholder Engagement Strategy
This week, the Code Manager has published an updated version of the Stakeholder Engagement Strategy on the REC Portal. The document is the Code Manager’s plan for collaborative working with REC stakeholders. It constitutes: a set of Principles and Objectives; a Communications Plan which details tools and techniques they use; and a Stakeholder Charter which sets out their promise to you that they will uphold certain values throughout engagement, as well as what they ask from you in return.
