On 12 June 2024, the REC Metering Expert Panel voted to approve Change Proposal R0094 – Clarify obligations on gas meter exchanges that occur close to CoS. Subject to no appeal being raised, this will be implemented on 08 November 2024.

For Information – RECCP 18 June 2024 Pre Meeting Papers
The Agenda and the pre meeting papers for the REC Change Panel meeting scheduled for 18 June 2024 are available on the Portal.
The Final Change Report for R0167 – Change Improvements has been delayed and a verbal update on its progress will be provided under agenda item 5 rather than a decision.
REC Initial Assessment Report – R0181
The Initial Assessment Report and Change Proposal Plan for R0181 – Schedule 14 – Metering Operations Footnote Review has been published on the REC Portal.
If you have any comments on the Initial Change Report, please provide these via the Change Proposal page (using the ‘Add Comments’ button) by 23:59 on 17 June 2024.

New Change Proposal Raised

This will now go through an initial assessment by the Code Manager to assess the priority status and score. This will in turn determine the next steps and timeline for the progression of the Change Proposal. There is no action required from you at this time.
New REC Change Improvements Webinar
Following on from the previous webinar held on 04 October 2023, REC have been working hard on the Change improvements process. REC are hosting a webinar on 20 June 2024 (10:00 – 11:30) to share the new improved Change process. This webinar will update REC Stakeholders on what to expect from the REC Change process and when the process will be implemented. These changes will reduce the length of time a change takes to progress, transparency of change progression, prioritisation, increasing engagement from stakeholders and using industry experts to produce the right outcomes.

RTS Digital Leaflet June 2024
An updated version of the RTS Digital Leaflet has been produced, and can now be found in the Information and Guidance section of the website.
The purpose of this leaflet is to provide a consistent message to consumers about the impending RTS switch-off, its implications, and the necessary actions they need to take. It is intended for use by suppliers and other stakeholders in their internal and external communications.
